There are several ways to DONATE to the Lord’s Pantry

Follow the HERE links below for specific items needed

Food Items: The Lord’s Pantry obtains some of its food from the 2nd Harvest Food Bank. Other foods are purchased in bulk through grocery stores, particularly meat and other much needed items not available through the Food Bank. See a list of food needs HERE.

Other items: BAGS We make good use of donated recycled bags. We also purchase of a large amount of paper, ziplock and plastic bags.

Homeless Needs: Homeless-friendly Food donations that are such as pull-top canned goods and packaged items that do not require refrigeration or a stove for cooking are always needed. In our efforts to help these people, we have also been working to include Hygiene Kits with their food bags. These items may seem simple to you and me but in fact are some of the hardest for some to purchase. See List of Homeless Needs HERE

Layettes: We offer layettes to new mothers who are referred to us by Public Health Nurses, WIC and Walk-ins.  When available, we offer formula, cereal, baby food, diapers, blankets and clothing, etc. to those who qualify. See List of Layette Needs HERE

Monetary Donations: Donated funds help us purchase food and defray operating costs. We are responsible for repair and maintenance costs of the buildings and business equipment including our freezers and refrigerators, as well as office and cleaning supplies (our volunteers keep the food and packaging areas spotless to meet County requirements). In addition there are business machines and equipment, printing costs, postage, etc. We pay two phone bills a month: one for a regular phone and another for a FAX line, a necessity for the Food Connection lists that come six times daily.

Make an online Monetary Donation HERE OR You can send a check to Gloria Dei (address below). Be sure to indicate where you want your donation to be directed. You can also leave a cash donation, designated to the Lord’s Pantry, as an offering in church .
